Degenhart wasn't even looking for a Shaman when she had a dream that led her to meet a real Shaman. At his invitation, through Shamanic Journeying she awakened to visions of past lives and experienced a Shamanic Initiation. She also met a Coyote teacher, a trickster with ties to the dark side, but felt called by a past-life connection with her original teacher to become his apprentice and pass on to others what he taught her.
