Bill Laswell, creator of Hear No Evil and Rasa, co-creator of Divination, Asana and Chakra, performs his trademark remix magic on two of Grammy-winner Carlos Santana's most spiritual works: Love Devotion Surrender with Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, and Illuminations with Alice Coltrane, both featuring stellar supporting casts of jazz and rock musicians. Laswell selects tracks from each album, alternates them, and melds them into an entirely new work by emphasizing or muting different elements in the mix.
