Brooke Medicine Eagle is an intertribal Indian metis, raised on the Crow reservation in Montana. An Earthkeeper, sacred ecologist, ceremonial leader and teacher dedicated to learning from Mother Earth/Father Spirit, her visions and work are documented in her spiritual autobiography, Buffalo Woman Comes Singing. On this album she sings modern and traditional songs, accompanying herself on the drum, with vocal harmony and other instruments by Anne Williams.
