The stories compiled in this book were first heard in 1982 by a small group of people visiting with Bawa Muhaiyaddeen in Colombo, Sri Lanka. From July to October, in the early hours of dawn, the storyteller would begin every day with a new and original tale of wisdom. Presented in the oral tradition of Sufi lore and in the ancient language of Tamil, these stories were simultaneously translated into English.
