The main purpose of astrology is not to predict events in terms of statistical probability, but to bring to convey a message of order, of form, and of the meaning of individual life and struggles---to transform chaos into cosmos, collective human nature into individual and creative personality. Rudhyar uses many concepts expressed in Oriental philosophy, along with modern psychological theories, to show how astrology and psychology complement each other in giving us a technique for personal fulfillment.
